The problem with mindfulness

And how I’m not doing that sh*t no more

Ok ok. So i’m back to just a standard newsletter reflecting my thoughts on wealth and the mindset of a high performer,

Reason being,

Its way more easier,

I can just log on, chat shit about what im thinking and send it out,

Its kinda therapeutic,

Anyways, todays thought

I was driving down to the gym earlier,

And thinking about all the mindful books I’ve read over the years,

And all the mindful podcasts and youtube interviews I’ve listened to,

And ARE THEY ACTUALLY HELPFUL for a true high performer?

Mindfulness, I get it, you kinda gotta be AWARE of shit,

Mostly so you can improve,

But not to the point that it inhibits any action you take,

For example,

‘I don’t feel like going to the gym today, i should listen to my feelings, as its my mind telling me whats good for me’

Or

‘I can be content with what i have, thats true happiness, so I’ll lay off doing any side hustle or work outside of my day job and I can be happy with what i got’

That sorta shit,

And we all do it from time to time,

And i think, after years of reading so much mindful shit,

I was literally saying those two phrases in my head more often than I’d like,

As a high performer, we have to just do shit,

And get shit done,

regardless of thoughts and feelings,

And I was moving away from that and getting way to zen,

Well, its never too late to change,

And over the last 3-4 months,

I’m happy to say i’m in ‘full action man dgaf about my feelings mode’

And the results in such a small time? awesome!

I have been GETTING SHIT DONE,

Don’t feel like working, who cares - just do it

Don’t feel like going gym, who cares - just do it

Tired, bored, anxious, annoyed, angry, frustrated, heart broken, whatever, all feelings, don’t matter to my mission - just do it

Because as long as im high performing and smashing wealth and health I can take care of the people i care about - thats a mission that needs no feelings to interfere with it,I’m heading into 2023 in top form and on a mission in both wealth and health,

I won’t share with you what exactly I’ve been doing as i feel its still a bit premature,

And tbh, if i share the little habits I’ve taken up it doesn’t seem like much to an outsider,

But i will share the results later down the line once I’ve hit the milestones,

Anyways,

My point is,

If you’re a high performer or want to be one,

so you can look after the people you care about for the rest of their life,

And you’re letting your feelings fuck around with any mission you need to accomplish,

Then set your tasks for the day,

Tasks that’ll move you closer to that mission,

Start early and just do it no matter how you’re feeling.
