Beginner MBA tips
I get bare questions on IG,
(Bare means a lot, in case you’re not from south london),
Just scrolling through them now,
The main one is,
I’m tier X and I’m not making sales,
X = under tier 100,
So if you’re below tier 100 and not making any sales,
Or you’re not making much sales regardless of your tier,
So heres some quick tips for you,
Think long term
Although you can make money fast on mba, some of my shirts sell within days, overall it’s a long game and even more so now with the competition on the platform. Think 6-12 months in advance. No sales this week doesn’t mean no sales in 6-12 months.
If you’re tier 10 or 25, that means uploading designs, taking them down after a week or 2 and doing more. Repeating and MOST OF ALL learning. Until something hits. For tier 100, that could be uploading and keeping some on for a few months whilst uploading new ones every 1-2 weeks too.
Work for free
I say this time and time again. FORGET MONEY. To start with anyway. Sure you can make money straight away on MBA, even at low tier. I did. But I’m fucking amazing and the market was ‘easier’ then.
For now FORGET MONEY. Focus on workflow and bettering yourself in the space. What does this mean. That means your ability to find good niches, upload designs quickly into that niche, talk to your customer through your design. And keep this going constantly with no pay and no motivation. THAT’S what top sellers are made of.
Don’t be a batty man
Lol, that made my crease up. By that I mean don’t be a pussy. I get grown men messaging me moaning like little girls that they need help and they can’t make money and they need money for food and mint tea or whatever.
All i hear is ‘my mindset is weak, I won’t make it in any business’ let me tell you something, MBA is by far THE easiest business I’ve ever been in. Sure it’s still tough. But compared to actually going outside of your door and hustling, how easy does it get than MBA? You sit in your pants, upload designs regularly and eventually someone 1000’s of miles away pays you. And you haven’t even left your house or your pants. EASY EASY EASY money. Quit moaning, quit the pussy self talk, get to work and keep working especially when you aren’t getting any rewards.
Buy your way out of tier 10 tier 25.
Get to tier 100 asap, it’ll give you more design slots to pay with. Now, you USED TO be able to just buy 25 shirts and get tiered up, but I think you need someone in US to buy them. I’ve tried recently in UK and it didn’t work. Dunno where you are but, to be sure, just do US.
Get someone to critique your work.
We all love our own work, coz its our sweat and tears that went into it. But the market doesn’t give a fk and will tell you this by giving you no sales. Ask an experienced MBA seller (not me unless you wanna pay) to critique your designs. When I do my coaching, the seller would sent me one of their ‘best’ designs, which is dogshit. Not because it looks like dogshit, although some of them did. But because it doesn’t speak to a customer. And that is the reason for no sales.
Get someone else to check your work. Don’t get attached to any design, work, niche or anything. So you can pivot easier. I.e. when an experienced MBA seller says your design is dogshit, you will say OK sure, what do i need to change and you’re ready to learn and tweak and move onto the next thing. Stay fluid. Don’t get attached to anything in MBA.
Mindset above all
And lastly, you know you heard this a million times, but it’s so true. How well you do in MBA is down to your mindset. It’s about learning the simple shit and having the mindset and discipline to keep doing that simple shit over and over and over aaaaaand over. Just make a promise to yourself you will do 2 years of work and not quit on MBA. And you will make money guaranteed.
Start now, take action and persist.
Good luck
